VIRLEY SERGT. KILLED OVER GERMANY

After months of anxious waiting Mrs. Warner, of Hill Cottages, Virley, has received the sad news that her second son, Charles Herbert Warner, a Sgt. Flight Engineer in the R.A.F., was killed in an operational flight over Germany, and was buried in Sept. last at New Cemetery, Lingen-on-Ems, Germany.

Sgt. Warner was only 20 years old and had been in the R.A.F. 14 months. He was educated at Birch Church of England school and was a popular lad amongst Masters and pupils alike.

Much sympathy is felt for Mrs. Warner whose husband died some time back. She has another son serving in the R.A.F. and a daughter in the W.A.A.F.
