Dear Jean,
Thanks for welcome Air letter No. 14 which arrived this morning. I have been checking up and find twelve of your letters have arrived so apparently two have been lost. Was very pleased to get all the gen about Claygate, Mother mentioned that you had called in to see the photograph, am glad you like mine, its about the only one I have ever been satisfied with, and it took a great deal of effort to get me to go to Surbiton to have it taken, still this should last me another 20 years! In my next letter I will tell you about our weekend in Albert County, we had a wizard time although the weather was’nt to [sic] good. As regards our moving, well will have something definate [sic] in a few days as we have at last prodded the authorities here into partial activity. Cheerio, take care of yourself.
Yours Jack
