My darling,
Just a line or so to let you know everything is alright. I arrived at Kings Cross at 7 o/c and the train had’nt come in so I was able to get a nice corner seat. We left Kings Cross 15 minutes late but the train travelled at a fair pace and we were in York at 11.45, Bill had caught the earlier one and

he met me at the station, our transport was waiting and we finally got to bed at 12.45.
This morning it looked as if all the Air Force had suddenly descended in Acaster, there were about thirty bods queuing up to see the Adjutant, so we dealt with them first, after a morning and afternoon of chaos we finally knocked off at six oclock, thank goodness we are getting rid of 200 this week.
I’ve just received those letters that you sent to [indecipherable word], not bad eh!

only a month to travel about 15 miles!
Its been a lousy day today, just misty and raining hard the whole time, we’ve both settled down in our private residence, had a nice fire and the place does’nt seem so damp.
I collected your parcel O.K. from the station post office today, it had apparently arrived Friday night.
We have just received another assistant adjutant to replace the one that is being demobbed on Friday, they mean us to have a four for

solo when we are’nt so busy.
Well, my darling, this is about all at the moment, shall be writing again in a few days, don’t think I can find enough to write about [underlined] every [/underlined] day.
Hope the job is still O.K and your tea interval does’nt grow shorter (must have my socks).
Remember me to Mum & Dad, hope their colds are better
All my love, dearest, take care of yourself
