STATION DANCE

Laughter and wine
As we capture
Moments sublime
From old Father Time

Ale and Wine
Flowing faster
Than Thames or Tyne
Toasts at youths
Sacrificial shrine

Dancing
To a different theme
Than the one played
On many a raid

Youth is the melody
Love is the theme
Music to make magic
A golden dream
That all too soon may fade
For Youth and maid

May we now only know
The glorious glow
Of earthly bliss
What though youth’s kiss
Be stale from wine and ale
When in the eyes
Shines paradise/?

Tomorrow who knows?
Life’s golden chalice
Which we now hold so tight
May, ere another night

Fall from finger-tips
And crash to pieces
Ere our lips
Can taste again
The happiness that glows
When youth’s wine flows

We who so much give
Tonight
Our Birthright
Is to LIVE!!!!
