With all these types I couldn't get out of the (US Navy) habit of tail-wheel [indecipherable word] [deleted] the [/deleted] [inserted] every [/inserted] touch down. The Stirling (& the [indecipherable word]) loved them & the Lanc (& the rear gunner) didn't – & with the Wellington, I (later) made too many landing in them to remember.
