BORN ON SATURDAY 15TH JANUARY 1921
(Saturday's child works hard for its living)
of Parents Jessie Sims
Harry Brennan
who lived at the bottom of Green Lane, Ockbrook.
(He was born in the Nightingale Home, Derby)
Attended Borrowash School.
At aged 11 years or before attended St. Mary's [inserted] Catholic [/inserted] School Derby.
Left school at 14 – to join Gee, Walker & Slater as an apprentice builder.

Joined the Royal Air Force 21-11-40
Commissioned 21.10.44
Released 6.1.47
Wished to make a post war career of the R.A.F. [deleted letters] but was not accepted because of perforated gastric ulcer & injury left knee.
Medical History revealed that when he first joined up his mentality was AVERAGE – this appeared to improve as the war progressed!

29-1-44 Married Gladys Evans at Bridgend, Glamorgan.
Had 2 daughters.

Susan Mary Born.
