My dear Dennis,
Very hearty congratulations on gaining the coveted D.F.M. I am proud to have had the opportunity of being your schoolmaster, if only for a short time.
I pay homage to your bravery, respect your manhood, and am grateful for the service you have rendered, and are rendering, to your country and your fellow men.
Thanks for giving so much to so many of us.
You will be remembered with pride by all of us at St. Peter’s – and rest assured that you will not be forgotten in our prayers.
