Dear Madam,

With reference to your recent visit to this Headquarters in regard to the present rank of your son, D.A. Baker, the following is an extract from a cable received from the Air Ministry:-

“P/O. D.A. Baker 80114 promotion to F/O. with effect from 26th June, 1942. Will appear in London Gazette dated 11th June 1943!.
