77 Sqd.
77 Squadron is a rattling good show,
Boys that are fearless, courageous and true.
We know them by number, we know them by name
But perhaps best of all we know them with their plane.
We see them by day, we see them by night,
We follow with interest their every flight
We watch them take off from the dusky drome,
We welcome them back when they come home.
We share half of their sorrows and all of their joys,
To us theyre [sic] our Squadron, our own gallant boys
We wait with anxiety when their kites overdue
We know what they risk those pitiful few.
But they always return with a smile on their lips,
And tell of adventures with Messerschitts, [sic]
We often wish we were AirCrew [sic] as well
To fly over Germany and give them Hell.
So day by day our victories increase
And the world draws nearer to a lasting peace
Our work and our Squadron our one great pride
We are thrilled to be working by their side.

The sun is setting behind the hill,
The drome is quiet, the night air still.
But soon theyll [sic] be over the target again,
77 Squadron and 77 men.
