CANADIAN LEGION WAR SERVICES
15 Feb 1943
Dear Mum, Dad & Moira,
Just a few things I packed –
6 Palm Olive Shampoos
3 Lipsticks (If too bright, please dole them out too[sic] Yvonne or somebody who’ll wear them)
2 pkts Blue Gillette Blades for Dad
2 Blooming awful handkerchiefs. Didn’t realize how rough they were until I looked.
I’m also enclosing one of the “Funnies” All through the American continent these are included with the newspapers Everyone reads them. They are more or less the same characters in all papers & the same stories, so if you move from New York to Winnipeg you can still continue the serial, this one is not as good as some. Superman is very famous
Also sending 2lbs chocolate.
[page break]
& 2 brooches, one for Yvonne & Moira. Hope stuff arrives O.K.
