Dear Folks,
I am here for about a week after all, but do not write here, as it is not worth while. We get three height tests here, in special chambers & get 4 hours [deleted] kit [/deleted] rest in between. We get nothing between Thursday evening & Monday evening, so I shall probably come home on an early train leaving Friday morning & getting to Bristol about 4 o’clock, if the fare is not too much. I can go back Monday morning so I shan’t lose any sleep.
I seem to have lost all my shirts except the one I’m wearing. Did I leave them home? I’ve bought a British shirt to go on with (I had to buy a couple sometime anyway.
I’ve met two old I.T.W pals of mine here (at Harrogate).
[page break]
Dave Park & Alan Harris. Both sergeants & Both going on single day fighters Very lucky Apparently Texas (where Alan was) wasn’t very different from the prairie after all, except that they were near Dallas which is a rather nice place. I went to the flicks with Dave on Sunday & saw [deleted] clad [/deleted] Jack Hulbert & Cicely Courtneidge in “Take my Tip” & Kay Kyser & John Barrymore in another Very good
I’ve seen no sign of Denis yet so presumably he hadn’t arrived when I left.
I suppose I shall be going back to Harrogate next Tuesday
Much Love
Terry
