Today has been brilliant sunshine, & we have been up above the snow line twice, at 6000 ft & second time nearly 7000 ft. But to crown all, we bluffed our way into Spain, got received by the colonel commanding the local garrison, tho bright as [underlined] bananas [/underlined]! Also served drinks, pastries etc. & finally gave us lunch in their best hotel! Crowd put on [indecipherable word] for us when we took a walk round, & altogether gave us hell of a time. The [two indecipherable words] of our Spanish travels more when I can write a letter. Reached Toulouse now. Love [signature]
