Well here it is again time to write a few lines how the years fly by when one is getting old Johnny retires the end of this month he likes to fish and take things easy his yearn for traveller is over we got to a lot of places but never made it to England which I would have love to have make the trip. Well we will all miss Pop this Xmas we all got together last Xmas which he was so pleased, shortly after he took the Flu and never realy [sic] got over it then he took strokes

One after another, but Effie he had live a long life. How is your family keeping, your grand children look very healthy and grandma [underlined] look [/underlined] very proud I bet they keep you hopping around but it is sure nice to have them. Will I wished you all the best for 1964
