Dear Mum Pat & Vincent. Once again all is well and I am in the very best of health with not a worry in the world. Before I go any further I must wish you a Very Happy Birthday, even though I [deleted] am [/deleted] [inserted] was [/inserted] not at home to enjoy it with you I hope you had a very happy Day. Pass Happy Birthday Greetings to Kathlyn for me. Last week I sent you a Postcard, I hope you received it. Entertainment on the Camp is very good with plenty of Quizzes and Concerts. Tonight we are having a swing band in to Entertain us, this band is not English so it is going to be very interesting to see what kind of swing they play. The other night we were entertained with [deleted] [indecipherable word] [/deleted] a play of G. B. Shaws. I expect mail from England about April and maybe June or July for your mail. Since being here I have met a few Aussie soldiers, they have been prisoners for years. The Educational classes still continue and I am progressing with my subjects, still I don’t expect to get very far with them here. The weather is still very Wintery and snow fights are the order of the day. Let Mr Spark know I still have that medal he gave me before I left home, looking back over the passed mishap I can’t thank him enough for it. Hope you are all well and don’t worry. I remember you in my prayers. Love Jim.
