Dear Folks,
The great day has at last arrived [underlined]I’m on my way home[/underlined] I went down to the orderly room yesterday and found that I’ve been LAC ACH/ GD with the rank of W/O [deleted]sing[/deleted] since last Feb. I’m therefore overdue release by about a week. I’ve been rushing about all over the camp since yesterday
[page break]
[underlined]2[/underlined]
Getting [deleted]eal[/deleted] cleared etc. I’m so excited that I can’t write properly. I leave tomorrow for Bombay & I should be home in March. I’ll [deleted]ty[/deleted] try & send of some food parcels & try and get the odd present but I doubt if I’ll have time.
With a bit of luck I should be home to see May before she goes.
No more now, don’t write me again.
Love Bill XXXX
