Dear Isabel,
This has been another big week for mail Nos 21, 25, 30, 33, your cable, 2 sets of papers and letter from Mother with N-L. 31 and 32 should be here soon so now only 24 is missing. I have sent an airgraph to Rita Knop with thanks praise and a little criticism. I hardly mentioned my own experiences but said you could supply what you thought fit. Thanks for very capable and perfect handling of Ada and N-L incident. Delighted to let Jimmy get credit (if any.) I still believe he’ll turn up. As far as I am concerned, I prefer you to do as you have done – Watch and say nothing as credit for success due to committee. In my [deleted] letter [/deleted] airgraph to Mother this week (quote) “now had four letters from Isabel but only 2 from fellows who usually write to me so I hope you are passing [underlined] all [/underlined] letters for me to Isabel [underlined] without delay.” [/underlined] (unquote). I hope this will help you. Continue to send cuttings with your letters. If you like sending cables as you say, suggest you acknowledge my letter No 16 with cable. E.F.M. cables [underlined] do [/underlined] have date of dispatch. Shall await developments re Murdo McLeod. [deleted] Presume he is a pilot so by this time he is probably in Rhodesia. [/deleted] Photo of Bill and me already sent, will send another one soon. Everything going along O.K here. Flying getting more frequent but still not a look in on the bike.
Yours, Andy.
