J. BURNABY
TUTOR
TRINITY COLLEGE
CAMBRIDGE
30th October 1931
Dear Mr Donaldson,
I have succeeded as Tutor Mr Winstanley, with whom your son D.W. Donaldson was entered as a candidate for admission in October 1932. I believe I am right in thinking that he holds a School Certificate which gives him exemption from the whole of the Previous Examination. If this is so, he can also be excused the College Entrance Examination and definitely be accepted for admission next year.
I notice that he will still be under eighteen years of age next October, and this as I expect you know is considerably below the usual age at which boys enter the College. But no doubt you have taken this point carefully into consideration, and if you still wish him to come here next year, I shall be quite willing to take him.
Yours truly,
J. Burnaby
