Ward 8,
Ely Hospital
[underlined] 24.9.45
Dear [underlined] Winco, [/underlined]
At the moment it doesn't look as if I'll be out of here under 4 weeks! Apparently, I've a form of eczema inside the right ear which is being treated with penicillin – what a bit of luck, just when I had release within my grasp! I expect you will be going down on Saturday. Hope your “Reach-me-downs” fit you all right, and that Mrs. D. leaves you with enough coupons to buy 6 handkerchiefs!!
If you leave your address with Ken, I'll pick it up on my return to Foulsham - my home address, at present, is 45 ARGYLLE ST, ST. ANDRREWS, [underlined] FIFE [/underlined]
Well, Winco, I can't write any more on this blotting paper, so until I see you again, very best of luck and many thanks for all you did for me, Yours very Sincerely. [underlined] Gill [/underlined]
