Statement of Ermellina Ferroni about some Allied servicemen
Title
Statement of Ermellina Ferroni about some Allied servicemen
Description
Ermellina Ferroni claims she helped three English prisoners of war: David, John and Tommy, from 14 June 1944 to September 1944. They stayed in Ermellina’s house for two days. Escapees moved at first to Fornacione, then near the Ombrone river, and eventually in the woods. Ermellina continued to bring them food and cigarettes. German soldiers recaptured David and Tommy; John remained there until the Allies arrived in Florence.
