Luisa Biagini and Fiammetta Baccellini claim they helped five English prisoners of war in the village of Cantagrillo, near Pistoia, from 9 September 1943 to 5 September 1944. For a period, they lived at a furnace owned by Ugo Cappellini, then they moved into the woods.
