Statement of Pellegrino Nesti about some Allied servicemen
Title
Statement of Pellegrino Nesti about some Allied servicemen
Description
Pellegrino Nesti claims he helped, for two weeks from 24 September, two English servicemen who escaped from a camp in Modena. They eventually reached the the village of Prunetta, in the mountains near Pistoia. With the help of Carlo Ducceschi, he brought them to a hut in the woods, where they were given shelter food and clothes. They left the area one week later, to re-join their units. For his efforts, Pellegrino received a certificate of thankfulness.
