Dear Mum & Dad.
I am sending these few things to be washed together with those books you sent. I don’t need them now having had our maths. I hope Peter is getting on O.K. with his exams. We have armaments next week, and today got 99% for Aldis Lamp sending.
I forgot to tell you that last week when I was on Wing Spotters duty in [deleted] the [/deleted] one of the towers, we were just in bed when we heard faint gunfire. We climbed
[page break]
up to the tower roof outside & saw a convoy being attacked by a Jerry. It was about 20 miles away, too far away to see details.
Please could you send when convenient my silver coloured knife. I often want to sharpen a pencil, & the knife I’ve got is terribly blunt.
I think that is all for the moment.
Love from
Hedley
