1. You cannot use this permit until a date which will be announced later by the Board of Trade. Take great care of it and watch the newspapers for the announcement which will tell you when you can use it and for how long it will be valid.
2. The name of the person to whom this permit was issued is entered on the front and the permit may only be used by or on behalf of that person. He should fill in his address before using the permit.
3. When shopping you must hand the complete permit to the shopkeeper. If there are more units than he needs for your order he will cut out the number required and return the rest to you. You must not cut units out yourself and it is illegal for the shopkeeper to accept loose units.
4. The shopkeeper may not retain units except when an order has been placed.
5. When ordering goods by post send the complete permit with your order. The shopkeeper will return the units he does not need.
6. This permit which is the property of H.M. Government may be used ONLY by or on behalf of the person to whom it is issued and ONLY within the area of validity shown overleaf.
