R.A.F. RECORD OFFICE,
ROYAL AIR FORCE,
GLOUCESTER.
11 September, 1951
RO/519903/8A/RFR

Dear Sir,
Receipt is acknowledged of your letter dated 12th September, 1951, regarding your enquiry on re-enlistment into regular Air Force service.
2. In this connection it is desired to draw your attention to this Office letter of even reference dated 12th September, 1950, wherein you were informed that your case had been carefully reconsidered by the Air Ministry, who decided that it was not possible to offer you further terms of service on a regular Royal Air Force engagement.
3. In view of this decision it is very much regretted but this Office is unable to offer you further regular service. As the Air Ministry decision is final, no useful purpose would be served in arranging a medical examination on your behalf.
4. This Office thanks you for the offer of your service and for your continued interest in the service, and reiterates that this rejection is solely due to service medical requirements.
Yours faithfully,
[signature]
for Air Commodore,
Air Officer Commanding,
R.A.F. Record Office, Gloucester.

Mr. J.H. Banks,
28 Sturdee Avenue,
Kings Way,
IPSWICH Suffolk.
