Dear Sir,
Further to my letter dated 21st August, 1950, in connection with your application to re-join the R.A.F.
2. Your application has again been carefully considered by the Air Ministry and, whilst it is gratifying to know that you have re-settled well in civilian life, and that your health is now good, it must be stressed that there is a strong risk of your breakdown under service conditions. It is regretted, therefore, that it has not been found possible to accept the offer of your services.
3. Permit me to take this opportunity of thanking you for your offer to serve again, and to assure you that this rejection is occasioned solely by service medical requirements and that there is no adverse reflection whatever on your previous service.
Yours faithfully,
[signature]
for Group Captain Commanding,
R.A.F. Record Office, Gloucester.

Mr. J.H. Banks,
28 Sturdee Avenue,
Kings Way,
IPSWICH Suffolk.
