He has received a letter from his mother. He has left the camp at Prato for a new camp. They are having a concert that night. It is much colder and there is snow in the mountains.
He writes he is settled in his new camp but there is a cigarette shortage. He asks for some to be sent. Weather is good but cold in the mornings. There is a library, board games, concerts, lectures and sports.
