The Aircraft Recognition Journal is revived, and herewith is Number 1 of Volume 1 (New issue).
As indicated on page 5, Aircraft Recognition maintains its place in the scheme of things, and the Journal will, in future, cater for all those whose duty it is to ‘Know their Aircraft’.
The Journal will obviously play a large part in the future training of the Royal Observer Corps, and with this in mind, the chief object of your Group Headquarters is to get a copy into the hands of every Volunteer Member for his/her retention and reference.
Attention is drawn to paragraphs 8 and 9 of the article on page 5, also to Group Routine Orders No. 33. Original Articles for insertion in the R.O.C. Supplement (or Gazette) should be submitted through Group Headquarters.
REMEMBER the Journal is an OFFICIAL PUBLICATION, it is NOT for sale, nor can it be obtained through any other source; it is therefore desired that distribution should be carefully watched by Chief Observers and Members alike. If you are a Member undertaking Voluntary Training, see that you get your monthly copy, if you do not, see your Chief Observer. If you are a Chief Observer please organise the distribution and do not retain surplus copies on hand – return them to Group Headquarters so that supplies can be adjusted and small replacement reserves mad available for new members.
POINTS: GET IT. KEEP IT. STUDY IT.
