R.N.A.Z.F. Rugger Men Win
The Royal New Zealand Air Force won the No. 3 Wireless school rugby football championship, last night, defeating the Royal Australian Air Force, 21-3, at Osborne Stadium.
The New Zealanders were too clever for the Aussies and flashed some nice passing among the backs and generally dominated the scrums as well.
The New Zealand team’s scoring consisted of four goals, one try and one penalty goal to the Australians’ lone try scored by Jacobs. Mc-Gaughlan crossed the Aussie line once and kicked a penalty goal and converted three of the five tries. Franklin scored twice and Moseman the other three points.
R.N.Z.A.F. – Reedy, Young, McGaughlan, Franklin, Mossman, Bayers, Horsley, Beck, Hyde, Peterson, Blackie, Fisher, Cook, Budge, Bowden.
R.A.A.F. – Hunt, Cole, Thurley, Smith, Lamond, Gillam, Jacobs, Olson, Marshall, Harslett, McDonald, Aked, Dundas, Baje, McLelland.
