Dear Frank,

Belatedly many thanks for your kind letter after the [two indecipherable words] Rehearsal and also for the [indecipherable word] letters.

The N of E's day went jolly well I think, and thank you for your part in preparing us all for it. He seemed in pretty good form (and obviously has an inexhaustible stock of 1950s’ pattern shirts!)
