Dear Joan – Had the shock of my life a couple of weeks ago, when I met Wal. here. He came to this camp with a number of other W.O’s, but they have returned to their former camp. I was very sorry to see him go, as we had some good yarns about old times with you people, & about my other pals. I hope you were not long in hearing that he was O.K., as I know how anxious you and the others would have been for his safety. He is looking very well & hasn’t had any injuries, for which you will be very thankful. He told me something of Dot’s unhappiness & I do hope everything works out best for her. Don’t worry about your Wal. Home soon, & lots of love – Dal
