Legend... An interior view of Lincoln Bomber RF398. And a personal note... James and I went to Cosford and were invited to sit in the rear turret of the aircraft by the curator. James went first while I chatted to the man. We were the only ones about. James became uneasy and asked to be let out right away. He exited. Then I got climbed into the rear gunner's turret and felt quite pleased with myself. Like James before me, I was the only person in the aircraft. Within moments I became uneasy too. I heard strange tapping noises and got out straight away. James looked at me and asked if I had heard it too. The curator asked if it had got to me as well. I asked what was going on, as I felt cold and creepy. I was told that this was the RAF's 'Haunted Bomber' that spooked people alone in it. I was glad to get out, and so was James. We knew nothing about it beforehand. Apparently a film crew from the BBC were in it once and got the heeby jeebies, and left. The picture show a 'ghost' pilot sitting at the controls. This is the bit on the video where I asked if this was the only piece of armour plate in the 'plane. There were lots of people on board when I filmed the inside, but I would not get into it on my own again.
