FLYING OFFICER J. LEADBETTER

A former member of the Lancashire Constabulary motor patrol who was at Fleetwood before he volunteered for the R.A.F. John (Jack) Leadbetter has been promoted to flying officer.
Flying Officer Leadbetter is the elder son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Leadbetter, of Ormskirk.
He has had two trips to Canada since he joined up. He is a bomb aimer, and was commissioned early this year.
He married Miss Dorothy Brierley, of Pharos-street, Fleetwood, and they have one child.
