Thanks for the letter, I suppose you have been expecting to hear from me sooner than this: [deleted] On d [/deleted] But perhaps the time doesn’t seem to drag as much to you at home.
It seems ages since I had the letter from you, yet it is only a few days.
Time hangs heavily here; nothing very exciting happening: Just the same old thing day after day. I am doing a little more flying now though. The weather has been fairly good.
I suppose you will have everyone home for Xmas. - Fred, Albert & Dorothy.
I do hope you enjoy yourselves anyway; wish I could get home too, but as luck will have it I am going on a B.A.T course next week. I will not even get this weekend off, so it will be the New Year before I manage to see anyone again.
It would not have been quite so bad if I could stay here for Xmas as I think they will have a fairly good time, but I think I will be going to Bramcot near Birmingham. Its only

for a week, although it has come at the wrong moment. I do hope Dads leg is getting along fairly well. I thought you said it hadn’t affected the ankle? Did Dorothy manage to see you over the weekend - Albert didn’t come with her I suppose?
Rene was going down to ‘Berts’ but I don’t think she will risk it with the children, now that I am not able to take them down.
