Dear Joan,
How lovely to hear that you have had a message from Bob. I was with Nell yesterday when Wilf came back from seeing you and told all about the letters you had received. He phoned the day before but Mrs Strachan was here and had seen Mrs Branidge so we had already heard the good news. I am
[page break]
sure the thoughts and prayers of all friends in Crowle have been with you and Bob’s people in your anxiety and we shall be worrying Wilf every time we see him to know of any more news.
I expect Nell will be back in Crowle at the week-end and I hope after this she will keep fit. I shall have a little more spare time for my London visitors went back yesterday. They have been with me three months and Billie and I really enjoyed
[page break]
a night “all by ourselves” last night, although we do like company but it is lovely to have a little time on our own sometimes.
I do hope you will soon have another message from Bob and that it will not be long before you are together again.
Kind regards to your people and Bob’s and love and all sincerest wishes to yourself from Lily & Billie Tillingham.
