With reference to your letter FIN/454/P.3. dated 19th July, 1946., you are informed that the regulations governing purchase of discharge, are in abeyance until the emergency is declared ended by Order in Council.
2. In this connection your attention is invited to para. 636 clause 2, which agrees with the provision of paragraph 8 of Form 60 quoted in your aforementioned letter.
3. It is therefore regretted that W.O. Thomson’s application cannot be considered at this juncture, and it is requested that he may be so informed.
