ABOARD H.M. Ships
Dear Mum, Dad & Moira,
Well here I am, getting on with things again at last. We knew we were on draft for a week, & have been preparing all the time for this. Denis is also on this ship somewhere, but as he is in another flight. I haven’t seen anything of him.
Things are much more comfortable on board that we were led to expect
pre–war 1st class cabin, although of course, all the [deleted] unreadable word [/deleted] trappings have gone.
Pete Lamb & Mac are with me & Allan Harris is in the next cabin. The one meal we’ve had on board has been very good.
Anyway I’m very much looking forward to the trip
[page break]
& I will cable you when we reach our destination.
Hope you are all fit & well
Love
Terry
