To :- Miss B. Bailey,
10, Tower View,
Woodmere Avenue, Shirley.
You have now been enrolled in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, and your number is :-
2161513
You will be required to report at this Unit for drafting for immediate service on :-
29.3.44 at 9 am. sharp.
or, at a date which will be notified you in due course. In the latter case, due notice will be given in order that you will be able to terminate your present employment.
In the meantime you will remain on Deferred Service and no pay or allowances will be issuable to you for the period you are on deferred service. It is important, therefore, that you should not leave your present civil employment until you are required to report for service.
In the event of your changing your address, this office must be notified immediately, and any correspondence must quote your W.A.A.F. number and name.

When you attend for draft please bring with you, Ration cards, Clothing cards, unempliyment [sic] book, Health Insurance cards and gas mask. The following should accompany you if you are in possession of them; Warm dressing gown, slippers, toilet requisites, towel, flat heeled shoes – black if possible, 1 pair of pyjamas or nightdress, collar studs back and front, mug, brown paper and string, bathing cap, metal polish and shoe polish. Sandwiches for journey. Clothing worn when reporting should be warm and comfortable and preferably not new. If you bring a suitcase it should be as small as possible.
