My father was stationed on the Isle of Mann in Douglass. He was there for 6 months and loved it. Father stayed in a hotel and saw lots of the island. This would have been 1940/41 ?
There was plenty of food. Boats came in from Ireland with lots of food. They were crewed by women, who, my father said were just as rough as men.
From the Isle of Mann he was sent to Anstey near Coventry. See notes on watch.
