Dear Isabel,
This is my new address and I shall be there when I next write to you. Jack is going to East London which is a great disappointment to both of us but we hope to meet there later as I shall have to go there to finish my course. At the moment I am entirely on my own for friends. I received your first cable just [deleted] before [/deleted] after I posted last week's airgraph and your second two days ago but, unlike most other boys I have received no more letters so dear knows what has happened to any written between 13/4/42 and 30/4/42. Perhaps they will turn up, I'll keep hoping. Thanks a lot for the cables, so glad to know you are getting my letters and I presume you also meant airgraphs. I spent last week end at the Halliday's in Joburg again but could not contact Bill. On Monday I received a letter from him saying that he had been posted away to Cape Town. I shall keep in contact with him because I hope to be in Cape Town before I leave this country. I met a Scots couple with a little girl of 12 in Pretoria two nights ago and accepted an invitation to spend last night with them. Very quiet but quite enjoyable. I passed my exams here this week successfully. I continue to keep well and was glad to hear you are doing likewise.
Yours, Andy.
