Dear Isabel,
Received your 26, 27, 28, 20 letters this week but 24 and 25 are still missing, therefore I am only vaguely aware of your illness at the end of April. Since your cablegrams were sent later I take it that you are now completely recovered. It seems other people also need to look after themselves! Thanks a million for the letters - they were as good as ever which means they are perfect. I only hope mine give you half as much joy. Glad to hear you have made contact with [deleted] the [/deleted] my hero's Movement and hope that it has impressed you. Sorry to hear your calling up is no nearer and I suggest when it does a cablegram to let me know would be appreciated but I leave it to you. Surprised to hear of T. B. J. at Dufftown. I dont get it! Relieved you came to correct decision about keeping me informed of situation at 40 Bradda even though discouraging - but only really sorry for Nora - trust you will help her if she needs it. Have sent off parcel to Mother, included are [indecipherable word] stockings for you and part of chocolate, trust this is O.K.
Have sent 16 and 17 letters this past week, 16 only enclosure being a short story which I hope reaches you. Everything going on well here. Yours, Andy.
