PLOIESTI IN FOG
The Germans cannot defend the refineries around Ploiesti against the air strikes. This is the reason why they are trying to divert the bombs toward the populated neighborhoods. This, and only this, is the reason for the artificial fog that covers the city of Ploiesti during the bombardments.
The German fog has caused a lot of victims and destruction. The people raised their voice; Ion Antonescu was forced to intervene. This is the answer of the German Commandment to the proposition to give up the Smoke Screen:
THE OIL FROM PLOIESTI IS MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE WHOLE CITY AND ITS POPULATION
Facing this answer, what kind of measures did Antonescu decide he should take? None! The city of Ploiesti continues to be under the camouflage of the German fog during bombardments. Antonescu, satisfied stays state leader and his policies remain unchanged:
WE STAY WITH THE AXIS ONE HUNDRED PERCENT TO OUR DEATH; WE EITHER WIN OR FALL WITH THE AXIS (Ion Antonescu 21 September 1940)
[Page Break]
ROMANIA IN FOG
The German fog, as everybody could see, cannot stop the destruction of the Ploiesti refineries.
BUT
ROMANIAN LIVES CAN STILL BE SAVED IF YOU KNOW HOW TO FORCE THEM TO GIVE UP ON THIS KIND OF CAMOFLAGE
Also the fog of German lies made to keep Romania in war will never stop the United Nations from crushing all resistance on Romanian land.
BUT
Hundreds of thousands of Romanian lives can still be saved if you will force the end of the policy of sacrificing Romanians for Germany
THE FATE OF YOUR COUNTRY IS IN YOUR HANDS
STOP THE GERMAN FOG
Launched by British Royal Air Force and US Air Force
