Description
Maria Lombardi claims that her late husband, Michele Scartabelli helped some allied prisoners of war for many days in the village of Iano, near Pistoia. Luigi Borchi, evacuated to Iano in 1944, where he became the Commander of local partisan brigade which then with the Puxeddu unit in the nearby village of Lupicciano, confirms what Maria says.
