Dear Renata,
Many thanks for you welcome letter I received yesterday. I am very sorry to hear of your bad news, I never suspected or even imagined that Michele would ever be guilty of such a crime of desertion, I have known him for ten years now, and that is the first time I have known of Michele to forget a promise, I am indeed very sorry that it has so happened, for you and your dear family, were the meaning of saving our lives, and even I miserable character that I am could never forget your kindness, and the great sacrifice.
