RAF bombs Baltic escape port
Lancasters made a heavy attack on Tuesday night on [underlined] Sassnitz [/underlined] on the Baltic island of Rugen, terminal port for the evacuation and supply of East Prussia.
The main force bombed the waterfront crowded with shipping, while other Lancasters attacked vessels off the shore with 12,000lb bombs. First reports indicate good results.
