620 Squadron was formed in June 1943 as part of 3 Group Bomber Command. However, in November of that year it became part of Transport Command. It flew in this role in Europe and the Middle East and disbanded in September 1946.
It was stationed at: RAF Chedburgh.
Aircraft flown included: Stirling.
Wartime losses: 94
