Description
RAF Sandtoft was a Bomber Command training station located in Lincolnshire, 4 miles (6 kms) south-west from Crowle.

It opened in December 1943 with concrete runways and was part of 1 Group. From February 1944 it was used by 1667 Heavy Conversion Unit with Halifaxes. The station and 1667 Heavy Conversion Unit transferred to 7 Group in November 1944 and re-equipped with Lancasters.
