RAF Desford was a training station located 7 miles (11 kms) west of Leicester in Leicestershire.

Opened in 1935 RAF Desford was initially a civilian flying school but during the war was home to 7 Elementary Flying Training School using Tiger Moths. The station also housed the Civilian Repair Organisation repairing Defiants and B-25s. Vickers-Armstrong also had a factory on the site making landing gear for and assembling Spitfires.
