#1 is a Spitfire attacking a German fighter. It is annotated 'Sept 1940 Down crashed the Hun. A riot of blazing ruin'.
#2 is a sketch of a water filled glass and decanter. Grey colour has been added with a pink border. The assessor has commented 'Rather unnecessary border'.
