NOTICE PAPER.
DURATIONG OF THE PRESENT EMERGENCY.

NOTICE to be given to a Man at the time of his offering to join The Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.

Date 26:3:43. 19 . . . .

The General Conditions of the Contract of Enlistment that you are about to enter into with the Crown are as follows:-

1. You will engage to serve His Majesty as an airman for the duration of the present Emergency, provided His Majesty should so long require your services.

2. On enlistment into the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, you will be liable, if medically fit, to carry out duty in the air in any type of aircraft and may be ordered to serve in any part of the world, ashore or afloat.

3. Your term of Service shall begin to reckon from the date of Attestation.

4. The age given by you on enlistment will be accepted as your true age, and you will be liable to be held to serve on the engagement for which you attest notwithstanding that at some future date you may prove that your age given on enlistment is incorrect.

5. You will be attested by the Attesting Officer. On completion of your attestation you will be subject to all the provisions of the Air Force Act for the time being in force.

6. If, after arrival at the R.A.F. Recruits Centre, you refuse to enlist for personal reasons, you must be prepared to make your own arrangements for your return journey home. No undertaking can be given that a free warrant would be issued to you.
