HAMILTON. – It has been officially confirmed that Lieut. Douglas J. A. Hamilton, R.A., was killed during September, 1944, in North-West Europe, beloved husband and dearest pal of Hilda (nee Wilson), High Farm, Washingborough. To the world a soldier, but to me the world. 20
MONKS. – Maurice Arnold, F/O R.A.F., aged 22 years, dearly beloved youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Monks, 27, Dixon-street, previously reported missing from operations during June, 1944, now officially reported killed. “Per Ardua Ad Astra.” 20
MONKS. – F/O Maurice Arnold, previously reported missing during air operation in June, now officially reported killed, dearly loved brother of Margaret and George Dean, 3, Carholme-road, Lincoln. 20
MONKS. – Maurice Arnold, F/O R.A.F., previously reported missing from operations during June, now officially reported killed, dearly loved brother of Alice, Reg, Margaret, Edith, Herbert (R.A.F. India), and Edna (A.T.S.). 20
MONKS. – Previously reported missing during June, 1944, now officially reported killed, Maurice Arnold F/O, R.A.F., the dearly loved youngest brother and brother-in-law of Alice and Leslie Gresham, 9, Scorer-st., Lincoln. 20

WALKLEY. – In loving memory of dear Bill, died October 20th, 1939. Always remembered. – From Edna and Family. 20
WARSDALE. – In loving memory of our dear son and brother, Ted, died Japanese prison camp, Java, 20th Oct., 1942.
Do not ask us if we miss him,
Tears in silence often flow.
Memory keeps him ever near us,
It was God’s will he had to go.
Ever in our thoughts.
